Role overview

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing iGaming platform team. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and scale the backend infrastructure powering our platform modules. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure and high-performance systems that support users in real time. This is a key technical role where your contributions will directly impact the stability, scalability, and success of our iGaming products.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain backend services and APIs across our modular iGaming platform.

  • Ensure high availability and low latency across casino and sportsbook systems.

  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security for real-time gaming and transaction-heavy environments.

  • Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality features.

  • Uphold clean code practices through rigorous code reviews, testing, and documentation.

  • Stay ahead of backend trends in iGaming tech, including compliance, risk, and payment integration.

  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.

  • Debug and resolve complex backend issues, including game provider integrations and data pipelines.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience in high-traffic or real-time systems.

  • Strong command of backend languages like Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.

  • Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (incl. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience in the iGaming industry is a strong plus.

  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
