Role overview
We’re seeking a Data Engineer to join our data team and help power the next generation of insights for our iGaming platform. From tracking real-time bets and player activity to optimizing game performance and fraud detection - data is at the heart of everything we do. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support our casino, sportsbook, CRM, and risk systems. Your work will directly contribute to business-critical decisions, user personalization, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for collecting data from diverse sources, including casino/sportsbook modules, payments, and third-party integrations.
Optimize data workflows for high performance, reliability, and scalability across massive event streams and transactional systems.
Collaborate with product teams, analysts, and data scientists to define data requirements and deliver usable datasets.
Develop and manage data models, schemas, and data marts tailored to operational and analytical use cases.
Integrate data across cloud and hybrid infrastructures, including gaming providers, KYC systems, and affiliate networks.
Stay current with data engineering best practices and emerging tools that can enhance our data capabilities.
Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement monitoring to ensure uptime and performance.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field - or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in high-volume or real-time environments.
Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and automation.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
Hands-on experience with big data tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS (Redshift, S3, EMR), Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) and ETL/ELT orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Prefect).
Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and best practices for pipeline optimization.
Comfortable working with CI/CD tools and version control for data workflows.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset.
Experience in iGaming, fintech, or other regulated industries is a plus.
